The As Pontes Town Hall is involved in the process of producing a new and comprehensive Urban Development Plan. In order to do so, all the inhabitants who have wished to contribute to this Plan have been invited to do so through the IdeaAsPontes project. This is a citizen participation project by means of which a great effort has been made to inform all the locals about the role and function of the new Development Plan by providing clear and easy explanations as to what is going to be done. On the other hand, local citizen participation has been fostered when developing this essential document that outlines and defines the future town planning of As Pontes.

When all mining activity stopped and the pit left by the strip mine was filled with water, the entire As Pontes scenery and appearance changed in such a way that Lago de As Pontes Lake has become a factor that is very much the backbone of the future of our Municipality.
This audio-visual presentation combines real images with drawings depicting what the future of our town like might look like and how it might be used as well as the activities it may offer in the years to come.
